Health and Safety

New for 2018 we have installed a defibrillator which can be used in an   emergency by any adult.  we took the decision to install this after the rise in defibrillators being installed all over the county.  It is situated on the front of the toilet block building to the right of the Ladies entrance.  We hope it will never be needed but it's there just in case.

We support devon freewheelers.

Devon Freewheelers are a charity which transports essential blood as well as delivering samples, medication and donor breast milk. They deal with an average of 16 calls a day throughout Devon and all the work is carried out entirely by volunteers. Based in Honiton, the charity receives no funding or government support. Ian Hopkins, owner of Kennford International Holiday Park, and his wife Lisa have also generously purchased a new specialised bike and also two rapid responce vehicles used in transporting organs for transplant all over the uk we also  provide secure storage space for the bike and carsIan is a trustee of the charity and a volunteer rider/Driver.  Lisa also does volunteer work by delivering and collecting the charity pots from local businesses and has joined the team of call handlers providing a vital link ensuring the riders arrive on time.

If you want more information about Devon Freewheelers or wish to make a donation then please click this link to take you to their website

Ian first found out about Devon Freewheelers at a motorbike event in Paignton which the charity attended. Ian & Lisa are also planning to organise a fundraising event for the charity this summer,

The old office building on the park which was converted into a garage to store the Freewheelers bike was supported by RGB Building Supplies in Exeter who donated a new garage door. To keep Devon Freewheelers service running it currently costs £150,000 per year. The money is raised entirely through fundraising because it receives no financial support. The charity is appealing for support by asking businesses to sign up for a collection pot, and appealing to people to make a regular donation by signing up to its £2 a month direct debit campaign.
